Most days, we will start at 9 am but we will confirm the meeting time each day.
Day 1
Arrive in Colombo, Sri Lanka’s bustling capital where modern skyscrapers meet colonial charm and vibrant markets. After settling in and unwinding from your journey, we’ll step out for a relaxed exploration of the city, soaking in its lively streets and culture.

Day 2
We’ll spend today exploring Colombo fully, delving into the history and culture. We’ll explore the iconic Gangaramaya Temple and visit the Independence Memorial Hall, a symbol of Sri Lanka’s freedom. Later, we’ll enjoy the coastal breeze at Galle Face Green and wander through the colourful Pettah Market. For those who wish, the day can end at the Lotus Tower with breathtaking views and an evening buffet.

Day 3
We’ll leave Colombo and head to Sigiriya, where we’ll stay at Sri Lanka’s first women-led hotel. On the way, we’ll visit a village for an immersive experience and local lunch served on a banana leaf. The visit will include a tractor ride through lush fields followed by a peaceful catamaran boat ride. In the evening, we’ll visit the Dambulla Cave Temple, home to sacred murals and golden Buddha statues inside five atmospheric caves.

Day 4
Today we have an early start - we’ll climb Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress, a magnificent ancient palace perched atop a giant rock with breathtaking panoramic views. After some downtime, we’ll explore the ruins of Polonnaruwa, a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage Site that reveals the grandeur of Sri Lanka’s past.

Day 5
On our way to Kandy, we’ll stop in a rural village to experience traditional Sri Lankan countryside life, complete with a tractor ride and a freshly prepared local lunch. Once in Kandy, we’ll take a stroll around the tranquil Kandy Lake and visit the Gem Museum to discover the island’s rich gemstone heritage.

Day 6
We’ll begin the day at Amuluwawa Tower, an impressive mountain-top structure offering panoramic views of lush green landscapes. Next, we’ll visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic and then wander through the stunning Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, renowned for their vibrant orchids and towering palms.

Day 7
We’ll make our way to Nuwara Eliya, a charming town often referred to as “Little England” for its colonial architecture and picturesque, mist-covered hills. On the journey, we’ll visit a tea plantation, where you’ll have the chance to learn about the fascinating process of tea-making – from plucking the leaves to the final brew. To top it off, we’ll savour a cup of freshly brewed tea right at the source, surrounded by breathtaking views of the rolling tea fields.

Day 8
We’ll spend the day exploring Nuwara Eliya, a town brimming with charm. Highlights include a visit to the serene Gregory Lake, where you can take in the peaceful surroundings, and a trip to a local strawberry farm to enjoy some freshly picked, delicious treats. For those craving a bit more adventure, there’s an optional trek to Horton Plains National Park. Here, you can immerse yourself in the stunning landscapes and witness the dramatic World’s End viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramic views that are well worth the hike.

Day 9
We’ll board one of the most scenic train rides in the world, travelling to Ella through rolling tea plantations, misty mountains, and stunning landscapes. Once we arrive in Ella, we’ll visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, an architectural marvel nestled amidst lush greenery. The peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking views make it the perfect spot to soak in the beauty of Sri Lanka’s hill country.

Day 10
We’ll bid farewell to Ella and make our way to Yala, a National Parl known for its incredible wildlife and serene landscapes. Once we arrive, you’ll have time to unwind and take in the natural surroundings and get an early night in preparation for tomorrow’s thrilling safari adventure, where we’ll explore the wonders of Yala National Park.

Day 11
We’ll start the day with an early morning safari in Yala National Park, giving us the best chance to spot some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic wildlife, including leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and a variety of other animals in their natural habitat. After the safari, we’ll head to the bird park in Hambantota, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn about Sri Lanka’s fascinating avian species and see them up close in a beautifully preserved environment.

Day 12
We’ll journey to Galle, where we’ll explore the historic Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site celebrated for its colonial charm and fascinating history. As we stroll along the fort’s walls, we’ll visit the iconic lighthouse and take in the stunning ocean views. The cobblestone streets and unique blend of architecture make this a truly enchanting experience. After our tour, we’ll continue to our next destination, Hikkaduwa, known for its laid-back beachy charm and relaxing coastal vibes.

Day 13
We’ll start the day with an exciting dolphin-watching excursion, offering a chance to see these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish. For those interested, optional activities include a visit to a turtle hatchery to learn about vital conservation efforts or a trip to Coconut Tree Hill in Mirissa, a picturesque spot with stunning ocean views and swaying palm trees.

Day 14
We’ll begin the day with a peaceful mango boat safari on the Madu River, gliding through lush mangroves and keeping an eye out for wildlife in this tranquil setting. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to enjoy Hikkaduwa’s beautiful beaches at your own pace. Whether you prefer sunbathing, swimming in the clear waters, relaxing with a refreshing drink, or trying something more active, there’s something for everyone. You can take surfing lessons to ride the waves or join a rejuvenating yoga class to unwind and connect with the serene surroundings – the choice is yours.

Day 15
After breakfast, we’ll say farewell to Sri Lanka as we transfer to the airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories and the magic of this incredible island.
