Tours of India
to cultivate your mind

Bhavana Experiences, with its name meaning to cultivate or to feel an emotion in ancient Sanskrit, is dedicated to creating guided tours of India where you can feel safe and comfortable, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the magic of the country. Our aim is for your experience with us to broaden your horizons and enrich your mind.

What sets Bhavana Experiences apart is our commitment to pre-tour support, ensuring you feel well-prepared before your journey begins. Our tours offer the chance to join a small, like-minded travelling community, fostering connections and shared experiences. We bridge the gap between group tours and independent travel by providing off-the-beaten-track experiences that offer a unique perspective on India beyond the usual tourist routes. With us, you’ll enjoy a balance between independent exploration and a well-organised itinerary, giving you the freedom to discover and adventure while benefiting from expert guidance.

We also organise bespoke tours. Please get in touch if you'd like us to plan your dream India tour.

The more time I spend in India, the more I love it. Every day offers a new adventure, experience, or even challenge. Everything that you see on my itineraries is based on my experiences, things which I discovered through hostels, retreats, courses, conversations over chai, recommendations from friends, couch surfing, volunteering and staying in places for an extended period to really get to know a place.

Our tours are not sanitised, air-conditioned tour bus holidays where we will be jumping on and off a bus. We’ll be trying to experience the ‘Real India’ as much as possible. From travelling by train to visiting villages off the beaten track, eating homemade meals in family homes, participating in Hindu rituals, celebrating festivals and eating langar amongst thousands of pilgrims at the Golden Temple.

Although I want you to experience as much as possible whilst visiting India, I think it’s also important that you have some time to relax, spend some time away from the group, and go out exploring to create your adventures. That’s why when out of the bigger cities, you’ll have plenty of free time and some of the hotels will have swimming pools.

If you want to arrive in India early or extend your trip at the end, we can help to plan additional activities, make hotel reservations and arrange taxis and guides for you. If you do want to extend the trip, ask me for ideas. I'll be more than happy to help you to plan something extra.

For more information about these tours please contact me by email or WhatsApp. When I'm in India, I can't receive calls on my UK number but you can call me on WhatsApp :)
