Ruby

Founder and CEO of Bhavana Experiences

Ruby is the founder of Bhavana Experiences and the heart behind every tour. She started the company at the age of 27, after travelling through India continuously for two years, shaping each journey around her own experiences and deep love for the country. Having travelled extensively from the age of 18. Having travelled extensively from the age of 18, Ruby spent years living and working abroad, teaching English in countries including Poland, China, Thailand, North Macedonia and Germany, as well as living in Spain while learning Spanish. Ruby eventually found herself calling India home during the pandemic.

During lockdown, she lived in Rishikesh, deepening her understanding of India, yoga and Hindu philosophy, before later moving to the calming shores of Goa, where she has been based for the past five years. While she initially both planned and led the tours, Ruby now focuses on operations, bringing new experiences to life – with Sri Lanka newly launched and Thailand next in the making. Caring, loving and often affectionately called “Mum” by travellers, Ruby is your main point of contact from the moment you enquire until you land in India, offering constant support and reassurance every step of the way.

Ruben is one of our wonderful tour leaders, bringing warmth, curiosity and a deep appreciation for India to every journey he leads. Having recently spent several months travelling the length of the country – from the Himalayan foothills to the deserts of Rajasthan and the lush southern states – he has an intimate understanding of India’s incredible diversity.

A qualified mountain leader with experience guiding tours in Italy and Japan, Ruben has also lived in China and travelled widely across the world.
