Let us take you
After checking into the hotel and resting for a while, we'll head out together for our first meal: lunch by the harbour. After lunch, we will go on a guided walking tour around Fort Kochi. In the evening we'll have dinner at our co-host's house.
After breakfast, drive around 90 minutes to Alleppey where we will stay overnight on a luxurious houseboat. On the boat, we will relax, enjoy the scenery and enjoy three delicious homemade traditional Keralan meals.
Hotel: House Boat
After breakfast, we'll disembark the boat and drive back to Kochi via Marari beach. This is a very undeveloped Keralan beach with soft white sand. Once we are back in Kochi, we will have a guided walking tour around Jew Town which includes visiting the synagogue. In the evening we will watch a traditional Keralan dance performance in Kochi, called Kathakali.
After breakfast, we'll drive around 6 hours to Wayanad. When we arrive there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy the beautiful hotel, views, and swimming pool. In the evening we'll enjoy dinner together.
Animals rise early? Well, today we'll rise earlier! We're going on a jeep safari so we'll be up very early to try our luck in spotting some exciting animals. Deer and elephant sightings are common, but we might see a big cat! After the safari, we'll go to the tea museum to learn about the cultivation of tea in Wayanad and do a tea tasting. Then we'll go to Pookode lake for an optional pedalo ride or just a stroll around enjoying the beauty.
After breakfast, we'll drive around 3 hours to Mysore. On arrival, we'll have a delicious banana thali lunch. Today we will visit Mysore Palace, one of the most impressive Palaces in India. After, we will hike or drive up to Chamundi Hill which overlooks the city to visit Chamundi Temple.
We will go on a day trip to Sreerangapatnam to visit Tippu's Summer Palace and Fort. We will be back in Mysore by the evening to see the Palace lit up at night, a Sunday special.
Before breakfast, you can try an optional Ashtanga Yoga class. Mysore is the birthplace of Ashtanga so it's an amazing opportunity to try it here! After breakfast, we'll head to the bustling fruit and flower market for shopping then go shopping for Mysore Silk and Sandalwood. After lunch stroll around Kukkarahali lake and shopping. In the evening we'll experience our first overnight train to Hampi.
